New WIP!

Seems like forever (!) since I last posted. Been a bit behind in updating the Book-Of-The-Week, too. But the weather's been glorious, and it's almost impossible to stay indoors! Also, I've been deciding where to "travel" next. Can't stay away from England too long, so get ready for a good, juicy Regency!

What is the title, you ask? So far, A Noble Dilemma strikes my fancy. It's got a certain ring to it! It's too soon to give any details on what's going on, or who's doing what to whom, but I will include a picture that I'm using for inspiration as I write about Merry Ole London.

Looks crowded, doesn't it? Enjoy your own unusual locales that you plan to visit this summer. :))

Contessa As Cosmo Girl

Time again to talk about the Book-Of-The-Week, 2005 EPPIE Award Finalist for Best Historical Romance, The Contrary Contessa.

This novel deals with one man's prejudice against his own family. He has a ready dislike of anything or anyone non-English, and when his father marries a lady from Sicily... well, Robert Weston is seriously displeased.

Too bad, says his step-sister, Lexia Cappello, the Contessa di Fabriani. Unaware of the Sicilian tradition of "Fortuna"--true love, Robert gave Lexia the four colors of roses--red, white, yellow, and pink. She and he are destined to marry, no matter what he thinks! Can Robert overcome his pride to win the Contrary Contessa's heart?

Romance Writing With A Twist Factoid: Using Cosmopolitan's Virtual Makeover software, I made The Contrary Contessa a covergirl. She's perfect, don't you think?

Anyhoo, in addition to the EPPIE Finalist honor, The Contrary Contessa earned a 5 star review from The Romance Studio and a Readers Top Pick Award from Romance Reader At Heart.

The Contrary Contessa is available for purchase through Awe-Struck http://www.awe-struck.net/ and at Fictionwise.com www.fictionwise.com/eBooks/SusanneMarieKnighteBooks.htm, among other Internet locations.

Print copies are available at amazon.com and my website http://www.susanneknight.com/orders.htm

Ta-ta for now!

Romance Writing with a Twist Happenings

Now that my science fiction romance, ForEvver, has been submitted to my publisher, what's been happening in the Romance Writing with a Twist World? Well, first, it's finally summer (spring has been bypassed) and I've been doing a lot of swimming.

But enough about me! Next up to be published is my time-travel Regency, Sojourn Through Time. Look for this book on September 26, 2008. Here's an advance review:

Recommended Read! Alex was a joy to read. The Regency era of London is so stuffy. Alex was not, and made no bones about it. She wasn’t a brainless wonder dropped into a situation. She’s a smart, resourceful woman who defines her situation, and moves on. No hysterics. No “who is going to save me?” Sit back and enjoy this “clean” romance. You won’t be sorry.--Christine at Simply Romance Reviews

Then, my Regency romance, Paging Miss Galloway, is being edited *as we speak*! This Regency is a winner in the Awe-Struck Regency Contest!

The release date for Paging Miss Galloway is January 2009. Here's an advance teaser for you!

Danielle Galloway is determined to visit her convalescing brother. She won’t let her father’s lack of permission stand in her way. Dressing up as Danny, a servant boy, she takes to the road to begin her grand adventure... only to have her money stolen and her face battered by street ruffians. Now how will she get to the resort town of Bath?

The Earl of Tremaine rescues a down-on-his-luck young lad. Against his better judgment, he takes Danny on as his page as he journeys to Bath. But this boy harbors a shocking secret. What’s the earl going to do when he discovers his latest act of kindness might hurl him into the parson’s mousetrap?

One more thing: I've sighed audio contracts for Regency Society Revisited and Timeless Deception. These best-selling time-travel Regencies will soon be available in audio format for your iPods and MP3 players! Stay tuned!

Enjoy your summer!
