It’s a new week, which means a new trading card for The Book Nook, my own category of collectible cards for my Romance Writing With A Twist Books.
This week’s book, number 40, is UNCOVERING CAMELOT, a contemporary romance mixed with a dash of Fantasy/Paranormal.
At the end of the Blog you’ll find the digital card that you can click on and save to your device.
Here’s a blurb about UNCOVERING CAMELOT:
An urgent summons resurrects Merlin the magician to once again meddle in the affairs of men.
A VACATION RUINED--Heather Woods suddenly learns her boyfriend, Connor, cancelled their summer plans. Determined to forget about him, she visits her flaky godmother, Nerissa, instead, for an impromptu vacation. Nerissa insists that Heather has a healing gift, something Heather doesn’t believe. But when she experiences visions... hallucinations... or whatever her jaunts back to Camelot are, she fears for her sanity. Meeting a man that might actually be Merlin the magician, and his very attractive nephew, Matthew, along with assorted other characters convince Heather that she’s in the middle of a strange, metaphysical phenomenon.
A VACATION CHANGED--Judge Matthew Limner also finds his vacation plans changed. He receives a call from a long-lost Uncle Mallory--so long-lost that he hadn’t even known Mallory existed. Mallory flies in from London, and expects to go sightseeing with Matthew. Resigned, Matthew plays the host. First stop: the Stonehenge Memorial in southern Washington. A chance encounter--or is it?--with Nerissa and Heather convince Matthew that something much more than coincidence is happening in this tiny corner of the world.
Here are some fabulous reviews:
5 Stars! A delightful woven romantic fantasy to Camelot. Heather Woods can't wait to spend her holiday with her boyfriend Connor, that is until he cancels, jetting off to spend time with his friends. Determined not to let the breakdown of her relationship spoil her holiday Heather decides to visit her godmother Narissa. Matthew Limner is off fishing, or so he thinks, until his uncle turns up and changes his plans. Irritated at entertaining his uncle from England, Matthew isn't in a place to find love, but there are mystical forces here that are too strong to be ignored. Woken from slumber Merlin needs to take action if Camelot is to survive within the modern world. Gwenny/Heather must chose a husband, and it needs to be the right one... This tale into Camelot is delightful, I really enjoyed how the author wove this old tale into a modern world, where magic is nothing but a fantasy, along with Camelot... or is it? I found this book easy to read, with characters that held many surprises.--Vine Voice
5 Stars! Absolutely delightful! Another wonderful addition to the works of Ms. Knight! You don't have to be a resident of Washington state to enjoy the trip to the Stonehenge replica overlooking the Columbia River at Maryhill. Ms. Knight paints a visual picture with her words while weaving a love story with ties to Camelot! >From the first page to the last, you will be mesmerized with her characters and her plot! I had a hard time putting this one down!--Visionary Insight Press
