Back to the Future!

No, not the movie, but back to my WIP, ForEvver, the science fiction futuristic romance in the year 2102. When I last blogged about ForEvver, our characters were deliciously warm on the tropical paradise of Maui. Good things do tend to end, so now we find ourselves back in New Tri-Metropolis in the throes of winter's icy breath.

Our heroine has done some sightseeing: some sights still extant in the twenty-second century, and some new ones. She visits the World Trade Memorial... a very special tribute to the heroes of 9/11 and the Twin Towers. I can't say what this memorial will actually look like in 2102, but here are two pictures from two separate visits to the Towers as they reached upward toward the top of the world.

Standing there and looking down at the city was an experience I'll never forget. The noise from the congestion below could be heard as only a hum or a buzz. I felt blissfully safe and cocooned from the frenetic world below.

Romance Writing With A Twist Factoid: I wrote my EPPIE Finalist for Best Contemporary Romance, Love At The Top, with the Twin Towers in mind. The title says it all...

Anyway, I've left my characters at a New Tri-Metropolis Yankee baseball game where our heroine, while watching her first game, discovers something very interesting. She is on her way now to check it out.

Stay tuned for more Romance Writing with a Twist adventures!

A "Sojourn Through Time" + Sisters

I've been busy since my last blog... but not on my WIP, ForEvver. The final edits from publisher, Awe-Struck, arrived for September's release, Sojourn Through Time, so I've been reading and polishing up this time-travel Regency for you! Here's an advance look at the cover:

My "newest" Regency is actually my oldest Regency! In fact, Sojourn Through Time was the very first book I wrote. :)) Interested in learning more? Try this teaser:

SCARRED BY LOVE: As recently divorced Alexandra waits for her flight to London, she has no idea her actual destination will be in the past. Will she be able to overcome her culture shock and learn to entrust her future to a most persistent duke?

DROPPED ON THE DOORSTEP: When Malcolm, the Duke of Milcaster, finds Alex on his estate, he immediately intends for her to be his new mistress. Alex, however, has other ideas on the subject. Can he overlook her peculiar ways and convince her that they are meant to be as one?

Way back when, when I first wrote Sojourn Through Time, I used this drawing to picture Milcaster Manor:

Anyway, everything's a go for this *long awaited* time-travel Regency, so stay tuned for more info on this book as we get closer to the release in September.

Besides working on Sojourn Through Time, I've been visiting with my sister... yakking all the way! Who can out-talk whom, I wonder?!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Farewell to Maui + A Ballerina's Dilemma

Yes, it's time to say goodbye to Marvelous Maui. I've just finished Chapter 11 on my WIP, ForEvver, where our intrepid hero and heroine are leaving paradise to return to New Tri-Metropolis... in the wintertime. Brrrrr.

On the subject of temperatures, it was in the high eighties here today, so I can relate to my characters' reluctance to return to the cold weather!

While my ForEvver friends are enroute, let's talk about the book-of-the-week, Janus Is A Two-Faced Moon. In the year 2458, Blade Sinclair is your normal, typical prima ballerina, only she's suffered an injury and has to put her career on hold. More than anything, she wants to dance again. A mysterious stranger, Plevake Va-Thor, offers her a chance to dance and compete in the Galactic Olympic Games which will be held on the Moon. Blade agrees, only to find out later that Plevake Va-Thor isn't human.

If Blade doesn't win a gold medal for this alien team, her family will die. If Blade does win, Earth will be destroyed. What's a girl to do??

Janus Is A Two-Faced Moon is a sequel to the award-winning science fiction novel, Janus Is A Two-Headed God. Not only do Mighty JorVaal and Gracious Sophia return in this story, traveling from Xaaspar in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy to Earth's moon,

but the Denebian Christopher Bainbridge is featured as Blade's counterpart.

Janus Is A Two-Faced Moon is available for purchase through Awe-Struck http://www.awe-struck.net/ and at Fictionwise.com www.fictionwise.com/eBooks/SusanneMarieKnighteBooks.htm, among other Internet locations.

Print copies are available at amazon.com and my website http://www.susanneknight.com/orders.htm

Ta-ta for now!

Montana Magic

Before we start talking about Montana Magic, and just what in the Living in the Romance Writing with a Twist World I've been doing since my last post, I want to update this Spring picture. See how my flowers look now?

It still doesn't feel like Spring all the time though. Like today, Mother's Day. Oh well, one day it really will be Spring all the time... until Summer, of course!

So, just what have I been doing since April 29th? Not writing about Maui, that's for sure! I've been vacationing in Montana... with no writing allowed! Oh, it's been wonderful, with an assortment of weather so typical of May in Big Sky Country. Here's a picture of me and a friend.

Also, I've included a shot of another friend, Mr. or Ms. Llama. This llama was the inspiration for an important character in my paranormal romantic suspense, The Wakefield Disturbance. Resting on the grass can be very relaxing... or can serve another purpose! To find out more, read The Wakefield Disturbance.

Now I'm recharged and ready to return to my WIP, ForEvver! Stay tuned!
